Award in Food Safety
Course aim: Food poisoning, food borne illness and allergic reactions to foods can be disastrous for a business. Civil claims are on the increase. Developing an effective food safety culture within your business can help prevent food-related illnesses and protect your business.
Designed for: Owners, managers and staff, particularly those who handle food within a business or voluntary setting. Essential for those who handle high risk or open food in premises where food is stored, prepared or cooked.
Course benefits: This course has been developed to address recent changes in food safety legislation and is the recommended minimum qualification for all food handlers. Current guidance is that this should be renewed every three years. This course – on successful completion – gives the candidates a nationally recognised qualification in food safety.
Certification: CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering on successful completion of the course. (this award replaces the Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene). QCA Accredited
